Getting to Winnipeg

 

Winnipeg is the geographic centre of North America making it easy to travel to from most major cities in Canada as well as US hubs with direct flights.

 

AirJames Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG)

 

Conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown, this single terminal airport is easy to navigate, has free Wi-Fi and great food options. It is serviced by Westjet, Air Canada, Flair, Swoop, United, Delta and other carriers.

 

Train – could be an option for a more scenic trip from another prairie province or those looking for a great way to see the country. Getting around Winnipeg

 

Once you arrive at YWG, taxis are available outside the arrivals area to take you to your accommodations (cost is usually ~$20 to downtown depending on traffic). The airport is ~7km from the conference hotel which take about 20 minutes to drive. There are also rideshare programs available if you prefer. The bus can take you from the airport to downtown in approximately 35-45 mins (Check schedules online – Rte 15, $2.95 cash fare)

 

You will be easily able to walk, bus or taxi to enjoy Winnipeg attractions from the conference hotel.
