2026 Call for Speakers
The CAGC Scientific Planning Committee (SPC) is actively inviting proposals for in-person sessions for the 2026 AEC in Halifax, NS.
We are looking for stimulating and informative presentations in all areas of interest to genetic counsellors.

Collaborative submissions are encouraged, including industry/public, multidisciplinary, provider/patient, multi-centre, and multi-company.
Presentations and submissions may be in French or English.
Please note there will be a separate call for abstracts opening mid-March.

DETAILS FOR PRESENTATIONS

The types of sessions include:

Plenary sessions - typically runs 45 - 60 minutes, with all attendees present. Topic should be applicable to the majority of attendees.

Educational breakout sessions - typically runs 75 minutes. Topics may be applicable to a subset of the attendees. A minimum of 15 minutes of questions and discussion is recommended for every 45 minutes of learning content.

Session topics may be related to clinical, specialty, research, or professional issues.

Presentations and submissions may be in French or English.
